GhostSub ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the GhostSub: Subscription Radar mobile application (the "App") on iOS and Android platforms.

2. Information We DO NOT Collect

GhostSub is built on a Zero-Cloud, Local-First Architecture. We do NOT collect, transmit, sell, or store:

No Bank Credentials

We do not use Plaid, Yodlee, or financial scraping services.

No Payment Data

No credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or transaction logs.

No Personal Identifiers (PII)

No real names, physical addresses, phone numbers, or identity documents.

No Subscription Cloud Scraping

Your itemized entries and pricing notes remain solely on your device.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All subscription details, reminder preferences, custom categories, currency selections, and renewal dates that you enter into GhostSub are stored solely in your device's local application sandbox via AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your physical phone.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

GhostSub is a free application supported by non-intrusive and rewarded partner advertisements. To serve ads, the App integrates with Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Google AdMob may collect and process pseudonymous data for advertising purposes, such as:

Device advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID / IDFA).
Approximate geolocation data (IP address).
Ad interaction metrics and diagnostics.

5. Local Device Permissions

The App may request standard device permissions to deliver core offline functionality:

Notifications & Alarms: Used locally on your phone to schedule 3-day renewal alerts for your subscriptions.
Haptic Vibration: Used to provide tactile feedback during in-app interactions.
Network Access: Used exclusively to load Google AdMob partner ads.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Because your subscription data is stored exclusively on your device, you have complete control over it:

You can reset all stored data at any time by going to Settings ➔ Reset All Data within the App.
Uninstalling the App from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

GhostSub is intended for a general audience (13+). We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
